A beautiful Late Victorian mahogany window table with a superb border of foliate carving. The scroll shaped legs are carved to the shoulder and are naturally strengthened with a stretchered tiered base. The table is both elegant and yet sturdy and would originally have been placed in or near a window and been adorned with popular Aspidistra plant, brought to fame in 1930’s by the singer Gracie Fields.
